Jerome Son Locates Father Near Ottumwa

Mach Smith, colored, of Jerome, and his father, 80 years old, were united near Ottumwa last week, after the old gentleman thought himself lost. The old man had gone from Wichita, Kan., passing through Jerome on the Milwaukee, and not knowing just where his son lived thought it migh be Rutlege, but not finding him there he started back to Ottumwa, becoming exhausted and stopping at the W. M. Wavsom home. A brother of Mach's in Wichita sent him a message asking if the old man had arrived and Mach then went to Ottumwa to look for him, finally locating him and bring[ing] him to Jerome.
