Jack John DalPonte, 1924-1978

  Jack J. DalPonte, 54, of 605 Wildwood Lane, died Saturday, November 11, 1978, at his home.
  Born April 27, 1924, in Centerville, he was the son of Bert and Mary Ann Carr DalPonte. He was married to Ernestine Deputy at Olatha, Kan., September 9, 1946.
  He was an employee of Colonial Bread Company for about 15 years, having retired due to ill health. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion, Amvets and VFW.
  Survivors include one son, Jack Jr., Centerville; two daughters, Jill Gibson, Overland Park, Kans.; and Lisa Burnham, Sheridan, Ore.; one grandchild; and two sisters, Lena Callen, Ottumwa; and Minnie Poverello, Highland Park, Ill.
  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
  Services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Johnson Funeral Home, with John Lewis officiating.  Burial will be in Jerome Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8 p.m.  Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery.
